Social responsibility

For many years we have been involved in regional and international aid projects. Aid organisations, campaigns and clinics e.g. "Kinderkrebshilfe des Uniklinikums Freiburg" (campaign to support children suffering from cancer) regularly benefit from our strong personal commitment and financial support. With our donations, we also give children in need new hope, necessary shelter and a bit of normality, like in the earthquake affected areas in Japan.


Our in-house crèche Kinderkrippe "Hellma Spatzennest", founded in 2008, was the first of its kind in our district Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, served as a role model and gained much interest. Parents profit from a much improved compatibility between job and family.

Corporate responsibility

With our highly specialized products it is possible to precisely diagnose and systematically treat illnesses like colon cancer, diabetes or infections. One can e.g. produce an ultrapure active ingredient for cancer therapy with a quartz glass photo reactor. High-precisionin micro channel cells enable, among other things, mobile HIV analysis in rural areas of Africa. Our flow-through cells are very versatile; they are e.g. used in haemoglobin analyzer devices for fast risk analysis detecting diabetes. 

Batch reactors are even used in the European Space Laboratory Columbus. Their experiments’ results contribute directly to the biological and medical research when fighting infections.

Ecological responsibility

With our products and solutions we make sure not to damage the environment. We are being audited regularly according to the DIN 14001 Environmental Certification – thus we can guarantee that we constantly bring down emissions and energy consumption before, during and after manufacturing and that we pay attention to a careful handling of resources and raw materials.
