For follow up of a batch process in a reactor we needed to know the acid number. For the monitoring of the acid number during reaction we used a 661.781-NIR HELLMA probe.
With a lightpath of 5 mm, the probe measures the spectra in transmission.
Wavelength range : 1340 – 2150 nm
The acid number is defined with chemometrical model.
