The use of fibre-optic cables is not limited to measurements with fibre-optic probes. Cells can also be linked with fibre-optic cables. Fibre-optic cables with cells or other optical components are connected to fibre-optical systems which are capable of the most difficult of measuring tasks, e.g. in dangerous environments. It is no longer a problem if the measurement has to be carried out remote from the photometer: under a fume hood, in inaccessible areas, or when the sample size does not allow the use of the photometer. With Hellma custom-made fibre-optical systems a solution can be found for these tricky situations too.

Flow-through cells with fibre-optic cables are used for in-process measurements remote from the photometer. The same choice of materials are available as for the construction of optimal immersion probes.
