Regulating the laser scanner
Neutral Density Wedge
| Application | Regulation of a laser scanner |
| Special Characteristics |
|
| Material | SCHOTT neutral density glass |
The function of the wedge stop is to weaken the light beam in a laser scanner.
The wedge stop is made of SCHOTT grey glass. The optical path length remains constant by use of a counter rotation wedge made of a suitable optical glass. In order to obtain the required heat resistance, both parts are fused directly according to the Hellma process. The entrance and exit surfaces are provided with a broad band antireflection coating for three laser wavelengths.
