How To Connect Probes and Photometers

Immersion probes from Hellma can be connected to spectrophotometers in two different ways. If the spectrophotometer has SMA sockets, an immersion probe with SMA connectors can be directly connected. For this purpose, use fibre-optic cables 041.002-UV or 041.002-NIR and 041.202-UV or 041.202-NIR.

For applications below 240 nm low-solarisation fibre-optic cables 041.002-UVS or 041.202-UVS can be used. The SMA-SMA connectors 041.500 is used for joining two fibre-optic cables with SMA connectors.

SMA-Kupplung 041500

For spectrophotometers equipped only with a cell holder, an immersion probe can be connected to the instrument using the fibre-optic interface 662.000 and special fibre-optic cables with collimating lenses. Fibre-optic cables 041.102-UV or 041.102-NIR are used in this case.
